Why buy through a Business Broker?

We know what you should pay for a business. This will always be what the "market" will pay given a reasonable amount of competition.  While we usually act for the Seller, the law is quite specific in Queensland - the sale must be fair to all parties.

We have a wide range of businesses for sale. You can only make the right decision if you have a choice! A good broker will be more interested in YOU, not what he or she has to sell.

We want you back!  The best case scenario is that you find the ideal business, you pay a fair price for the business, the transaction will be handled efficiently and that you will sell your business through us when your turn comes to move on!

We are experienced negotiators. Other advisors work in the safe environment of just giving advice.  We have to DO IT.  This works for the benfit of both buyer and seller: the win/win scenario is our best outcome.

We understand the complexity of business sales and the need for "all the ducks to be in a row".   Negotiations can include the buyer and seller, their two banks, their two accountants, solicitors, intelligent spouses, licensing authorities and then there is the landlord, landlord's solicitor, bank and so on.  And if you own a franchise ....

We sell in a competitive environment.  We have to be good at what we do or we just don't last.

We qualify buyers: time wasters are just that. We are busy like you. Never waste your time on a would-be buyer that has not been "qualified".

We know what information you need. The list will always start with accountant's financials, and a range of other tools, reports and resources that your accountant and your bank will ask for.

We know WHO you will need. If you are moving to a new town, a good broker will have a list of reputable solicitors, financiers, accountants and other advisors that are fundamental to your success.  (We also know the best schools, dentists, cafe's, suburbs and so on)

A Warning

Selling businesses is our livelihood.  We work in the same market you will be working in. Our client, the Seller, has appointed us in a legally binding contract to do a job.

Sellers do not want staff or clients to be disrupted during the selling period. A Seller can take great offence at an unannounced invasion of their work place, and only the foolish Seller will discuss the business without their broker present.

As the Buyer should you also need your acquisition to be kept as quiet as possible until you are ready to meet your new staff and clients
